67. The History of Sex Work Part 1

There is more to sex workers than being victims of true crime. We aim to explore the history that has created the stigma by highlighting sex work in the ancient world, how sex work came to be in various parts of the world (in more recent centuries), and the wide variety of laws criminalizing such work.

In Part 2,  Dr. Scott and Dr. Shiloh will provide an overview of the current research on sex work as related to race and gender, the integration of technology, as well as depictions in the media and the psychological impacts on sex workers.
